Hello!  I'm Danelle, the Person in Charge of Everything here at Stori Stables.  Two things about me as a kid - 1) I begged and begged my parents for riding lessons and a horse.  I used to write "horse" on my Mom's grocery list.  2)  I was very envious of Pippi Longstocking.  (If you don't know who I'm talking about, Google it - you'll be envious of Pippi too.)

My parents gave into the riding lessons when I was 9, figuring I'd "get it out of my system".  They bought me my first horse, Tori, when I was 14.

As for the Pippi Longstocking lifestyle, I never did get a monkey (maybe because I neglected to write "monkey" on the grocery list) and my adventures were much tamer.

Today I'm lucky enough to have my horses at home on our sweet little spot in Sebastopol, CA.  Brian, my very indulgent husband, and I raised our two kids here.  Our oldest is off at college and our youngest is a senior in high school.

Stori Stables is home to a herd of quirky animals.  No one is ever surprised if they find a chicken cruising my living room, a bunny helping in the office or a pony in the kitchen!  (Pro tip - make towel "pathways" to keep pony hooves from slipping on hardwood floors.)  That's just the kind of household I have!  But I still don't have a monkey.  Maybe someday!  Actually, I'd really rather a parrot.
